Who We Are Now-Your Growing Library!

The Addison Twp Public Library is located at 1400 Rochester Rd., Leonard, MI 48367. The library provides free services to all residents living within the Addison Twp boundaries.

In recent years, the library had outgrown it's space next to Township Hall and has taken a lease at 1400 Rochester Rd, Leonard, MI, next to the Post Office on the strip mall across from Lakeville Lake. Work on the new space started in June and our Grand Opening was October 15, 2011. The additional space will allow us to add computers for public access, Wifi and increased space for our Adult, Teen and Children's Collections.

 Our Mission is to provide:

• Quality materials and services, which fulfill educational, cultural, and recreational needs of our community in an atmosphere that is welcoming and respectful.

• A gateway to the ideas and events of the world-at-large by promoting literacy and a love of knowledge

The Guiding Principles for Our Library Are:

1. To serve all residents of the community and surrounding region

2. To provide resources encompassing a broad range of materials including print, non-print and electronic media

3. To maintain a program of service, which locates information, guides reading, organizes material and stimulates thought and intellectual development in individuals of all ages

4. To strive to discover new methods and improvements to better service the library’s patrons

5. To regularly review the goals of the Addison Township Public Library and to continually improve policies and processes
